Luckily, a majority of the great UK music festivals now allow campervans! There are endless reason why taking a campervan to a festival instead of camping in a traditional tent is the best decision; some being showering, sleeping and security! Having a campervan at a festival, means when you do need to inevitably recharge your batteries, you will be able to do so in the comfort of your campervan.
Festivals are amazing fun and you’re guaranteed to create unforgettable memories that will last for ever, but for a lot of people the thought of being dirty and cramped is an off putter. So, staying in a campervan at a festival will ensure none of those negatives dampen your experience.
Glastonbury is a five-day festival of performing arts that takes place in Somerset. You can go the whole weekend without seeing a performance because there are so many fields, bars and events occurring all the time! Around 200,000 people attend every year, and it never fails to deliver. Each campervan must have a separate campervan ticket, as well as everyone who is staying in the van needing a valid weekend festival ticket as well.
The Reading and Leeds festivals are a pair of music festivals that occur annually. The two events take place simultaneously on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday of the August bank holiday weekend. Both festivals sell out every year and camping there would be an experience not to miss.
If mainstream festivals aren’t attractive to you, more intimate festivals are available across the UK. For example, the Secret Garden Party is held annually in Abbots Ripton. The festival amazingly supports CALM, which is the Campaign Against Living Miserably which aims to prevent mail suicide in the UK. The festival consists of independent art and music displays.
Taking one of our campervans to a festival will be a decision you do not regret!
